ATS may be installed (run, configured, etc.) in three different ways:
We recommend choosing your install option based on your particular needs and available technology. Below are diagrams of each option.
Option 1: Hosted by Keffer Development. Your information is backed up each night and is available to you anywhere you have an internet connection and a pc/laptop with ATS installed.
* We recommend, at a minimum, that your PC, laptop or tablet PC have Windows XP for an operating system.
Option 2: Hosted "in house". Your information is located on a server within your organization. SQL Server 2005 is required for this type of hosting. Backups and availability are subject to your internal IT infrastructure. If you have the resources and technical staff this could be configured similar to option #1. In other cases it may only be available within your organization's network with no, or limited, external access.
* Your server will need to meet Microsoft's specifications for SQL Server 2005. We recommend no operating system below Microsoft Server 2003. Click here to view Microsoft's current 32-but specifications. Option 3: Stand alone. Your information is located on a PC or laptop. SQL Server 2005 is required. Backups are done locally. Typically your information is not available to other machines. If the installation is done on a laptop, your information can travel with you.
